The Powershop was founded in februari 1990 by three friends: Jokke Verschueren, Patrik Dams and Jan De Meyer. With one generator, they decided to deliver electricity to different events in the most remote places.
It was such a big success that in 1995 an office was opened in The Netherlands.
To realize this The Powershop makes use of generators to provide electricity and a wide range of distribution boxes and cabling for the distribution of power requirements. At an early stage it was clear that for such big events only the most specialized and reliable equipment and technicians could be put to work.
Activities started expanding and soon other projects such as fashion shows including Chanel, Hugo Boss, Dries Van Noten, the tours of Madonna, Metallica, Bon Jovi, Paul McCartney were using our services.
The matches of the Jupiler League, the World Cup and major sporting events such as the the European Indoor Athletics Championships, the Memorial Ivo Van Damme were also using our services and this meant that an enormous amount of material was needed .
An own manufacturing department arose from this need. Distribution boxes, generators, cabling and so forth are made here. These products are used for both personal use and for sale to third parties.
Customers are always able to place orders with us for custom building including: distribution panels, engine controls, dimmers, power distribution for production vehicles, video walls, mobile kitchens.
In the industrial division of The Powershop, you can contact us 24/7 for emergencies. During office hours, you can obtain a detailed price quote for all your planned work.
